Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and was awarded numerous international and national distinctions. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around all over the world on policy as well as research related to the treatment of children victims of the law by the system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of many professional organizations including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
